SIMS 5 TIMELINE

I agree, disabilities are something the Sims should do as I’m sure there are some Simmers with disabilities who would like to make their Sims like them. On the other hand, maybe those Simmers don’t mind. Timeline, I’d like to see it be after Sims 2 with Bella being back. Whatever the case, I don’t want it to follow the “alternate” timeline of Sims 4.

In Sims 5, I hope the timeline is 10-25 years after Sims 2, Bella Goth has returned to share her story & we find out the result of the Pleasantview love saga. The iconic Sims storylines / family trees like Goths, Landgraabs, Caliente, Wolff are expanded Upon and we see some of our favourites return like Thornton & Morgana, Nancy & Malcolm Landgraab Etc

More than anything, I want the sims to feel like an actual community. I want them to have interesting connections and juicy storylines between the families

I wouldn't mind something way in the future, maybe seeing Alexander Goth as an elder for example.

I'd love to see the return of memories and extended family trees so that you have to go searching through pre-mades to build up the storyline.

I'm going to get that our of the way, cuz I know someone will say this: Sims 4 is an alternate world and isn't part of Sims 4 timeline.
Personally, I hate this alternate world thing and I act as if Sims 4 were after Sims 1 and before Sims 2, jsut like you did, cuz Bella still didn't disappear, Mortimer's still young, Cassie's still a teen. BUT, some thing would be all over the place, like the Pleasant sister/Dustin and Dirk being older in Sims 4 than in Sims 2, so I act as if each Sims 4 world were in a different timeline.

Sims 3: Mortimer is a kid here(Kinda all over the place, some worlds are in the present, some in the past and some in the future. I've calculated where each of them would be placed in the timeline using sims ages/presence in world as a parameter, but I'll share it later. I'll set in as the past cuz most worlds are set in the past).
Hypothetical Oasis Springs 1: Ignoring the presence of too older Dina/Nina/Don, the Landgraabs could exist here. Johnny Zest is a good sim, just like Sims 3 Malcolm Landgraab used to be, while Sims 4 Malcolm is evil. I think Johnny is the original Malcolm, but Nancy disinherited him as he didn't want to take up on the family business to become a comedian. Later she had another kid which she name after the original Malcolm Landgraab. Johnny changed his name to Johnny, and adopted his father's maiden name Zest.
Sims 1: Mortimer and Bella are young adults with a child Cassandra.
Sims 4 Willow Creek + all the other worlds that don't have any classic premade sims: Mortimer/Bella are older young adults now, Cassie is a teen and they had Alexander now.
Hypothetical Oasis Springs 2: Ignoring the Landgraabs being younger than they should be. Dina and Nina still live with her mother and Don, and they still didn't move to Pleasantview and Dina still needs to marry with Michael Bachelor, a famous elderly football player.
Sims 4 Gallery 1: The Pancakes had a son named Iggy.
Sims 2: Bella disappeared, Mortimer is older, Cassie is an adult now and Alex is about to become a teen.
Sims 4 Gallery 2: Loki Beaker cloned himself and had two kids named Atom and Ceres.
Sims 4 Gallery 3: Malcolm Landgraab, son of Nancy, married Hannelore and had Adrien Landgraab. Later he divorced and married Mom Landgraab and had Dudley and Mimi Landgraab.
Sims 4 Britechester: Dustin Broke probably didn't had money to go to university. The Pleasant twins turned into YA and moved to uni. They probably broke up with their boyfriends in the meantime, or not.
Sims 4 Del Sol Valley: After finishing uni, Dirk Dreamer becomes a celebrity. Dustin Broke also turns into a celebrity.

With that in mind... Personally, I really want to know what happens after Sims 2. We only know of Don Lothario, who was sent to the past and Dina/Nina Caliente who moved to Barnacle Bay. BUT... there's some things I want to keep in mind.
Sims 2 will probably be unplayable in the near future, in more modern computers, and I don't think the devs will update the game's graphics to be able to run in newer machines. Also, a loooot of players started playing Sims during Sims 3/4, and probably didn't experience the whole Bella Goth storyline. AND, if we went with a game after Sims 2, following my "fixed timeline" for SIms 4, most premade sims from our current iteration would be elders/dead, and I don't think its positive.
What I want: Sims 5 to be a "soft remake" of Sims 2. I say soft remake, cuz everytime I see someone asking for a Sims 2 remake/graphics update, someone shows up saying they don't want all sims game to be the same game (which is kinda d*mb, its a life simulator... but anyway). I want Sims 5 to be its own thing, but still remaking Sims 2.
Release Sims 5 with 3 worlds, like SIms 2, but instead of Pleasantview, Veronaville and Strangetown they could remake:
Willow Creek (presenting us the Pancakes with a thrilling storyline similar to that of Pleasantview/Bella Goth, maybe Iggy older dating Olivia Kim-Lewis, Travis Scott married to Liberty Lee and having a feud going on with Summer Holiday, Alex Moyer married to another woman as a lesbian couple, and Babs L'Amour married to Ollie Purdue with the 3 children we've seen in som of Sims 4 trailers). And to make WC new and interesting to explore, isntead of the same old boring world, make it so that we have visual changes to how towns evolve overtime. Maybe an apartments neighborhood, bigger premade houses as if inhabitants had evolved and lived in them.
Windenburg: In Sims 4, this world is full of drama which could be expanded in Sims 5. Evolve the town, open up new places to explore/live, like I've said above. And, maybe connect it to Veronaville having the SIms 2 family bins form this town living here.
Oasis Springs: The Caliente Sisters moved to PV with Don, and they left their mother behind. Maybe Katrina married J Huntington. Have Zoe Patel choose between the remaining boys/Johnny Zest. And have Malcolm, Johnny, Mom, Mimi, Dudley, Hannelore and Adrien in a huge family feud + the evil Malcolm storyline frm Bustin' Out + dead/elder Nancy and Geoffrey.

Than, add exact remakes of the Sims 2 expansion packs/stuff packs + new expansion packs/game packs/stuff packs with new content. Have a fused Strangerville/Strangetown be the town of a Alien Game Pack, Veronaville could be in another pack we didn't had in Sims 2, and Pleasantview remaked in Generations Expansion Pack.

ALSO, I want to know what happened to other Sims 1 characters during SIms 2 timeline, like Claire Charming, the Hicks (Is Mama Hick, Don Lothario's grandmother?!), Roomies (I always thoug they were a lesbian couple when I was a kid, and there's rumors that they are two supermodels in the H&M trailer for the SIms 2 stuff pack), Maximus, Hatfield (is Ruby Ann the same as Ruby Broke from Riverview?).

anyway... I just hope Sims 5 treats its premade sims/worlds better than Sims 4 did.

The devs confirmed back on release that The Sims 4 is something of a soft reboot of the story, taking place in an alternate universe. Therefore the Goths are not the Prime Goths from the previous continuity.

I would like them to pick up the generations after TS2. Cassandra as elderly. Don elderly. All of those young Sims as elderly this time. And kids they may have had as late middle agers with their own kids. Bella and Mortimor buried in a family tomb. So, Sims like the sisters would be very elderly with their own grown kids and with grandkids. Be done with this made up alternative universe stuff excuse because they couldn't remember from story to story or format to format. lol

I've played Sims for 20 years - 1, 2, 3, 4

Sims 1 = got me hooked nothing else like it. So funny and entertainng.

Sims 2 - Opened up the game and kept a lot of the surprises and humor of sims 1 but with much better graphics. Though sims 2 were kind of fuggly looking they had a lot of interactions and responses. Loads of surprise behavior:
- Sims sit down and reads magazine then turns it around and eyes pop open and sim looks around before continuing to view what is an implied centerfold.
- Kid sits at piano for first time and plays like a protegy.
- Grumpy sim answers phone by yelling into it then hangs up.

Sims 3 - Stunning to look at (especially World Adventures) but soooo boring. Felt like the whole games was mostly pick things up off the floor. Detested Rabbit Holes which made up a large portion of game play and places just to accommodate open world (not worth the trade off). Lots of problems with every update and EP. Stopped playing Sims 3 well before they stopped issuing EPs and packs.

Sims 4 - Love it. Looks great and the game play is fun. No Rabbit holes. Screen changes are super fast. Collecting is better, cooking is better, responses more varied, building is fun. I've bought every pack except Vampires (only because I don't like them). And I love having mermaids. I like going to work with my Sims. I like watching them act. Enjoy the kids and toddlers, Karaoke is fun. It's almost all good.

Now thinking about Sims 5 -

- Single player option (I'm not into multiplayer games)
- No Rabbit holes (worse game aspect ever)
- Even more spontaneity and surprises in sims behavior
- kids included in more activities like gardening, cooking, and playing piano & guitar
- acting for kids and teens
- Better toys for kids/toddlers bring back the talking rabbit & xylophone, coloring books, sand castles, rocking horse, playable small teddy bear,
playable dolls
- more toddler to kid interactions: chase, tease, tickle, pinch, raspberries, play tag, peek-a-boo, hide and seek

I thought Sims 4 was like a reboot?

Id actually like it if Sims 5 was completely fresh. No previous families except a few references.

@sir As a person who has been playing The Sims since the first one too, personally I find Sims 4 to be the boring one (and is the most lacking) even with all the packs. Sims 4 also has rabbit holes (so the "no rabbitholes" is false). It even has rabbitholes in places where even Sims 3 didn't. I'm just going to say there's a reason why everyone is begging for a lot of features from Sims 3.

Anyway on topic: As for the timeline, I think they should pick up where Sims 1-3 left off. Sims 4 is an alternate timeline.

Maybe it will be set a few generations later and Bella and Morty are no longer around. So it would be all about the grandchildren. Hard to say after the Sims 4 mixed it up and brought in an alternative timeline.
