Sims eat too fast!
My sim families can never all sit down and eat at the same time like previous games. Is there a mod for slower eating? Thanks

I disagree that eating is too fast; I like it the way it is right now.
Before, it was so frustrating getting sims ready at a reasonable time. How early did I really need to wake them up? It shouldn't take 3-4 hours to get ready for work or school. At the table, sims would always look around, sniff their food, stare into the void blankly... then slowly take one bite. They still do that now, but it takes significantly less bites so it's more tolerable.
As for family meals, they can still do it. Eating together is one of my favorite things to do with my families, and it's something I do all the time.
The trick isn't to just call to meal and have everyone wander from wherever they are to the table. If a sim is on the other side of the house, by the time they get to the table the sim who called to meal is going to be finished with their food.
Remember, eating is slower if sims are multitasking. Set up the table before you have sims eat. Instead of grab serving, use pick up serving and place the plates on the table. Have your sims sit down at the table, eat and start talking to each other.

The only issues remaining are musical chairs and washing dishes immediately after finishing their plate. Musical chairs isn't just an issue for eating, it's an issue everywhere. I use a mod by simvasion called chat greeting fix and it is amazing. I also use a mod by Bienchen called No Autonomous Wash Dishes After Eating.
