- Brd7095 years agoSeasoned AceI think the original eating times were too long but now i agree they eat too quick. I recently celebrated Harvestfest and Winterfest and both grand meals lasted one human minute even with the table already set.

I already posted in this thread, but I’m still upset about this. I really wish someone would make a mod to change eating back to how it was before. I’ve been looking for months. I tried Bienchen’s more consumption turns and it was too fast.
Coolspear1 who use to have a slower eating mod has recently csme back to modding. He is slowly updating all of his old mods so I'm keeping an eye out! If he does not eventually update it I will ask him about it. - Babykittyjade5 years agoSeasoned Ace

Coolspear had a mod that put eating at 8 bites. I think we should have been given a choice. Fast eating when everybody is in a hurry to go to school, to work or do an activity or other and longer if we have a family dinner. In real life sometimes we rush our meals and sometimes we eat slowly and take our time.
Has the mod been updated yet? I know he recently came back to modding but I don't know if he got around to the slower eating mod yet - Ziafar5 years agoSeasoned Ace@Babykittyjade. I do not know if the mod has been updated. It does work but I am not sure if it works for Country living food.
- "Enjoy Company" is a nice way to extend the at-table time for Grand Meals. That would be a nifty way to let any meal take longer if we chose to, if the option were available at regular meals.
- moderateosprey5 years agoSeasoned AceA couple of new interactions could potentially appease everyone. Something like - Wolf it down (fast eating) and Take your time (slower eating). I am sure they could be better named, but that would allow some more variety at meal times for sims. There could even be a chance of moodlets.
Food is a big part of human life, so I reckon this is an important concept in a life simulation. - elliebreton5 years agoLegend

That's a good idea but, in practice, I think it would be a pain to have to make a choice for every single sim.
I still think it would be better to have the fast eating set for any quick meals from the fridge and the normal eating pace for anything else.
I mean, in reality, you can wolf down a bowl of cereal way quicker than a roast dinner. - I agree, Sims eat to fast, they don't go to the table to sit and eat they prefer to stand... they also finish the meal before others have had a chance to sit and eat. It's a bit annoying and not realistic at all. EA should fix this.
