Sims Mood Boards

Here's my mood board that I made for the contest...

I feel like an idiot, but I don't even know what a mood board is. :D

It's a just collage with a specific meaning. It's basically a collage used to convey a sense of style, feeling, or.. well.. mood.

No but I can't wait to see all the entries and vote.

For those familiar with my game, can you imagine if I made a mood board? It would be nothing but sims screaming at each other (hot headed), stealing things (kleptomaniac), sleeping in dumpsters (lazy) and eating rotting food (glutton)

@Nate_Whiplash1 Totally go for it, I see a color pallette of reds, oranges and yellows for angry, tense and uncomfortable.

People are being all hip and cool trying to use them for things where they don't make a whole lot of sense. They do have a purpose if you are in a field that involves trying to convey a specific feeling, mood or style though. So think Landscapers, Interior decorator, stylists, web designers, even writers. For those kinds of professions you want to have a consistent mood or style and a mood board can help you define that and convey it to clients visually.

Here are some beautiful examples of wedding mood boards. The bride and groom select a color palette and then gather photos of the mood they want to convey at their wedding.

I was a member of a sims fan site when I played Sims 3 (N99) and we often had mood board challenges for designing different rooms.

No, my country isn't eligible to participate ?

No point in even considering it because my country is excluded from the contest. But even if they would allow everyone to participate, I would probably not. In the limited time I can spend on the pc with the sims, I prefer to play the game instead of making a mood board.
