in-game music festival? How is it going to work?
Yes I'm quite curious too.
I know they've done "events" in the past like when Jasmine Holiday used to make an appearance, I have no idea why they stopped doing them because I quite enjoyed the limited time events.
I really hope some of the SimGurus answer questions about this on Twitter tonight, I want to know the location for this and also if it really will give "festival" vibes, not much of a festival if only 6 sims turn up. :D
Yes, that's more or less what I'm thinking will happen, too. A limited-time event, set in a park (probably in Willow Creek), and that your sims can visit. I imagine we'll be able to go there and the items will spawn there, maybe at specific in-game times (like the festivals in City Living/Snowy Escape) or even just be there full time until July 7th. There'll be these three random famous sims singing and playing (no idea who most of them are, sorry) and we'll watch and do those activities. That's how I imagine it'll work.
Kinda nice, I guess? It sounds even better than the previous events we've had in the past. I think it's sweet and I'm sure gonna send my sims there to watch the festival - maybe on dates or out with their friends. Sounds nice, I just hope it isn't glitched.
Also, tin-foiled hat on: could this be another clue that bands might be coming to the game in the future? *sigh* I wish!"lifeofdaydreams;c-17918171" wrote:

Could be the opposite: "Here is your band performing, now shut about about it." We'll see.
I hope the festival stays active all through the time frame, not just for a single visit. I have several households I want to send there on different days.- Isharell4 years agoSeasoned Ace@crocobaura , thanks. I'm still confused though. Is this something we keep? I like the food stands, they look good, especially the trailer one (it looks like something you'd haul behind a vehicle). Oh, plum, now everyone will say this is a hint that cars are coming :D
Never mind, I just read something online. It's a concert festival of some sort, and we can buy stuff and do some karaoke or something. The only thing that would tempt me is that trailer food cart.
I think I'm not the audience for this.
Thanks, EA. I'll keep my money.
edited to add the last 3 paragraphs. - Simmerville4 years agoLegendHm, I have a church with a graveyard on that park lot, now I can see a conflict coming up where the priest and his elderly supporters will raise heir fist at the wild youth woohooing in the festival tents! Good thing Mrs Crumplebottom has not yet arrived, or the chaos would be complete, for sure.
- In theory, it sounds awesome that they're doing an in-game festival because I'm not likely to really do any livestreams or whatever if they aren't the Maxis 411s or anything that's pack related. But the more I think about it, it just sounds ... eccentric to me. I've never heard of these people in my life (are they very recent because I don't listen to really recent stuff unless its in a movie soundtrack) and ... how would it even work? Do they just have the same lineup every day for a week and the same song and dance (pardon the pun) so everyone can get to see it regardless of when they sign on? Is it basically just going to be me watching my sim watch a concert, being surrounded by a bunch of NPCs and premades or something? It sounds so confusing (and can't we sort of already do this anyway if we really tried hard enough?)
And then it all ... just goes away? That they would have put all that time and money and resources into putting it together and it just vanishes? I'm truly perplexed. Hopefully there'll be more information about this. "Haflinger;c-17918190" wrote:

Dang, they missed a great opportunity for some Simmed-out fun! Mrs. C banging on the tents with her purse, chasing everyone...I wonder if she can do karaoke? LOL - crocobaura4 years agoLegend

I think the stuff will be available in debug afterwards, like the stuff that came with Jasmine Holiday and the sugar skulls.
