Since the Sims four now has a new team Fairies could be a thing

Since this new Sims four team is more competent.. could fairies be on the horizon?.. if so, what things would we as a community like to be in a fairies expansion pack?.. let me know the type of things you would want

I'd like some darker Fae this time, or at least the option to play them. Old fairy tales are actually quite grim, so I'd love to have more grit, like goblins that steal babies and/or children and switch a changeling in its place, or pacts that can be made with the Fae and if you break the pact, there's a curse or consequence. But ultimately, a variety of choices that go beyond the typical, winged fairy (but includes them for people who want them.) I imagine the CAS being similar to Vampires but with more options. Weird hair, strange eyes, pointed ears that are thinner or shaped differently, snouts, horns, cloven hooves, maybe insectoid features, wild clothing ranging from leaves and bark to fur and sack cloth. All Occult features should be unlocked for them (and I wish they'd all be unlocked for ALL Occults) and they should have some quirky and unsettling new traits. Definitely need new powers, maybe instead of power trees, just a variety to choose from, some dark, some lighthearted, but maybe the more you take, the "odder" the Fae gets, so they earn some kind of quirks as a result.

I'd also really love some new Sim voices. I feel like after ten years, the same three voice types for each sex have gotten old. it would also be fun to have little Fae pets like insects or pixies or Void Critters. And a pan flute, recorder, or ocarina for a new instrument.

I love this! I've been getting into occult sims and I have a dark fairy and a fairy queen who both have such a powerful presence... I need a storyline that makes them important to each other some how, but they carry anger and pain towards each other as well, on top of the dark fairy wanting the throne.

I've been so hoping for the much needed Fairies to finally make a comeback in Sims 4.  My Spellcaster "Fake Fairies" so needs it.

I hope so I keep going back to the sims 3 just to play my Fairies and the occult. I want the fairies to be added with like new world maybe ties it in to the eco living how you have to help them to even have them appear. Would be cool like a fantasy side adventure that also lets you do what you want in typical sims fashion. They can even take the sims 3 and add a sims 4 mesh I would love that too.

  • I would love fairies as well. Werewolves were such a great addition and very well done. It's a shame that GP stopped (hopefully only temporarily) after werewolves. I would like fairies with a full skill tree and customisation of the wings. Allowing them to become tiny would be so fun. I hope it can be done in the game.

  • If we get fairies, it might be a nice idea to have different kinds of fairies with their own specific set of skills. Like there is a tooth fairy (she collects teeth and makes new teeth grow), we could have garden fairies who have skills  related to gardens and plants in general,  or house fairies with skills related to running a house, or an all purpose mischief fairy who is best at doing mischief. Each one of them would have their own way to appease them, and if you want to befriend them you need to learn things about them, like how to summon them or find them and what they like,  and if you want them to help you with something they will send you on errands for them.

That does sound cool, but they don't sound very playable, and I know I'd want to be able to actually play Faeries, not just have Faerie Friends.

They could work like the Spellcasters, and be a sort of teacher from whom you could learn tips and tricks of the fairy folk. Maybe you anger a fairy one day and to spite you they make you a fairy too. Now you are tiny and with no skills, you can't fly and you are clumsy with your new wings, what do you do?

They can use the base game skills for these types of specializtions:

      • Fitness fairies could change sims' morphology: gain/loose muscles or gain/loose weight, or they can make other sims energized (cross pack could be with Mt Komorebi: no accidents during skiing, snowboarding or rock climbing; another cross-pack could be with horses in horse ranch); they could also help sims reduce their tense or embarassed moodlets...more mischievous fairies could have the ability to "paralize sims" or reduce sims' energy needs drastically to make them fall asleep for a very long time
      • Social Fairies could have a spell that makes sims improve friendly relationship faster, or the opposite, make sims become ennemies faster; They could have a magic spell that improve mischief, charisma and comedy skills faster too. I also feel like they should have the ability to befriend every animals in the game instantly (except dolphins and fish, cause that would be the mermaids).
      • We could also have Art fairies: they could improve the quality of paintings, books, wood sculptures, dishes and baked goods (cross pack with Eco lifestyle fabrication and crystal creation would be awsome imo and even any creative activities in the game like flower arrangments). Also, they could cast a spell on musical instruments to make them play autonomously and can inspire other sims by casting a spell so the sims would get an inspired moodlet. For a more mischievous fairy, they could also imbue an artwork with bad vibes which would make sims feel dazed, tense, angry etc...
      • Mental fairies would influence any mental skills: logic, programming, research and debate + robotics (if university is installed). They can have a special spell to identify all the types of fish a sim can fish in certain areas; they could enchant plants so they would never have problems (not evolving cause island elementals can already do that); They could enchant spaceships so the upgrade would cost less money. And they could have a special spell to help students (kids, teens, univeristy student) finish their homework faster.
      • And finally, I would like "Dark" fairies: unlike the mischievous fairies from the other categories, these fairies are specialized in dark interactions. They could curse a baby with an incompatible trait with the parents (for example a good trait for the child if the parent has an evil trait, etc...), they can summon gnomes anytime they want, they can increase the risk of accidents (cowplants, vending machines, pufferfish, meteorites, fires, electrocution, etc...). But as such, they could have a counterpart too, if they want to, they can give a compatible trait to a baby, they can appease gnomes, they can enchant protect sims from lethal accidents.

I hesitate for elixirs, cause the way they did potions for spellcasters was kinda unsatisfying, so if they go with elixirs, not only, I would like new bottle designs but also, they better have very original effects.

  • There is a book by Brian Froud from the 70s that is a field guide to Faerie.
I want that in Sims form

But as that is not a reasonable option for the team (because it would be like Horse Ranch - all the options that would be needed for Faerie CAS would take up so much space they'd need to make it an Expansion Pack to include anything else.)
I want Faeries that have a twist of some kind.  At least in comparison to previous iterations in the Sims.  Wings and Shrinking being optional (give me my Sidhe), or else based on a part of the world that isn't western europe.  (Eastern European Domovoi would be interesting, as would the Aziza from West Africa, just to name two)  Or with a Steampunk vibe rather than plant clothing or a revisit of cottagecore.
That said, they should have some sort of nature magic, mischief magic is optional, and I'd love it if they had courts (seelie/Unseelie, seasonal, directional, whatever)

After that I'll sigh and accept the pixies that we'll probably get.

Is the new team more competent? What evidence is there of that?

  • I would love fairies so much! I enjoy playing occult sims, so been wanting this for a long time :)

It would be so cool to have a deep Faerie Lore.🤩😎  However, I at least hope for Dark Fairies, Demon Fairies, Season Fairies, Godmother/Godfather Fairies & especially a Maleficent Fae.😍🧚‍♀️
