Slippers

So, is there any way we can set a favourite pair of slippers that sims wear when inside a house? I get that with socks they wear whatever socks they have on, if any, otherwise they have bare feet. I was looking forward to assigning my sims a pair of slippers for use when indoors, but it seems that the slippers assigned with the PJs don't work as indoor slippers. The only pair of slippers my sims seem to use are the news ones that came with Snowy Escape and I don't like those very much.
