I thought that there was suppose to be some new unlockable recipes coming in Snowy Escape. I have been to every festival, every food stall, every vending machine and haven't found a single recipe that's unlockable in Mt. Komorebi. So happened to these unlockable recipes? Were they taken out of the game completely, were they unlocked before Snowy Escape launched?

There is a post on Answers HQ about some of the SE recipes. Apparently, your sin needs gourmet cooking skill to make the Maki roll (all variants) & Nigiri (all variants).

The requirement of learning a recipe is a small thing, but as a goal oriented Sims player, it's something that helps extend my interest in a pack. It gave me another reason to keep going to the festivals in CL, take additional trips to Salvadorada in JA, & go out to restaurants in DO. It's especially disappointing to hear that the food items in SE are automatically unlocked given that many of the other activities in the pack are refreshes of things that I can already do in game thanks to other packs.

The requirement of learning a recipe is a small thing, but as a goal oriented Sims player, it's something that helps extend my interest in a pack. It gave me another reason to keep going to the festivals in CL, take additional trips to Salvadorada in JA, & go out to restaurants in DO. It's especially disappointing to hear that the food items in SE are automatically unlocked given that many of the other activities in the pack are refreshes of things that I can already do in game thanks to other packs.

For me it's the thrill of my sims discovering these recipes no matter what pack they are from. And having them automatically unlocked takes that thrill/ that joy of unlocking them away.

I understand, I feel much the same way. I get enjoyment from my Sims learning new things & participating in new activities, while they grow their families.
