I think it could be good if they add a bunch of setbacks.- We get a lot of rotting/ugly/decrepit furniture and hideous aesthetics for run-down houses
- We could have to deal with roaches and mice
- Some of the things you purchase for the house need to be manually installed or repaired
- You can clean
- I mean I guess we can do all that in the game already, but
- What if you can find dragon eggs in abandoned buildings, hatch them and raise dragons to help you demolish things?
This right here!!!
Plus I wanna see the actual animations of sims painting and stuff. Would love that actually.
Ooo yes, I 'd love a furniture restoring skill and the dragon of course, very cool.- We get a lot of rotting/ugly/decrepit furniture and hideous aesthetics for run-down houses

EA: Yes! Exactly! Build mode for 20 of your local currancy <3
Exactly what I was thinking. Just copying and pasting my post from another thread:
This is not really gameplay expanding.
I am disappointed. It's not a bad idea and I might get it, the idea is nice. But there are so many highly requested features and this just isn't it. I know some people now and then wished for an interior design career like we had in TS3 (this seems to be it). But most people had other requests: hobbies, cars, Generations, active school, bands, better babies, daycare career, werewolves, fairies, update on aliens, romance pack, the list goes on and on.
I don't understand why they just won't give us what we ask for, and I mean all of us. This is - AGAIN - something (almost) nobody asked for. I'd be even happier if it was an occult GP I wouldn't buy anyway because I know many people would have been really hyped. But this?
Another YA/A centered gamepack featuring something which is considered cool right now? Nah. Thinking about not buying it tbh. This game has got to a point where I just don't like it anymore because it doesn't support my playstyle.
I get this completely. Even though I really enjoyed the TS3 version and would like to see it back, it was not at all at the very top of my list. I’m going to try not to judge too much until more is revealed, I want to think there will be more to it than what it seems. We have gotten freelance careers with stuff packs & free updates, so I have to believe more will be added with a GP.
I have a tiny bit of hope you're right and there IS more to it. The survey featuring an interior design career also featured building a water park, starting a cafe and opening an art gallery and I'd enjoy the variety.

But knowing TS4 this really might just be an interior design career... I'll never forget Get Famous being an EP, this was basically ONE career and the boring fame system that doesn't work well with anything else but the acting career (and this youtube video table thing).
I wish Get To Work included this terminal-thing TS2's Open For Business had where sims would pay $$ for time spent on your retail lot, this system allowed for cafes and art galleries and SO MUCH MORE :'( - SheriSimSeasoned Hotshot

This definitely seems like an interior design career. We don't know yet if that's all it will contain, so I don't want to complain too much yet. But if an interior design career is the only thing coming with the pack, I'll be unhappy. I don't believe this is a theme that should fill up a whole GP, unless it adds greatly to build/buy in general - painting ceilings, spiral staircases, beams etc.
I feel that interior design should be one of two or three careers added in an EP, alongside careers like fashion design and stylist. This isn't just bc I'm thinking of TS3 Ambitions, it's bc an interior design career adds next to no new gameplay - we can build houses already, now sims just get payed when we do it and we get checklists of requirements. It could easily be added to a pack almost as an after-thought. So what are they going to do with it to warrant an entire GP dedicated to it?
This isn't an Eco Living case. It was a bizarre theme for an EP, imo, but it still added quite a number of hobbies and homesteading options. It has more gameplay than Snowy Escape, for example. This pack is only advertised as being a career. Paranormal SP had a career with completely new gameplay in a SP, which has a much smaller budget than a GP.
I'd greatly appreciate love directed at builders in build mode, not just by adding furniture. I'm just very unsure about how it seems like it might be implemented. Quite a few simmers have been asking for a build pack for a few years, so it wouldn't be something no one wanted. Just...
I would like the career fine if they add hotels and casino’s for us to design and build. - amapola76Seasoned Hotshot

If this is anything like Ambitions, then I actually will be extremely hyped.
My fear, however, is that a pack like Ambitions is... well, more ambitious than most of the packs we've seen for TS4. I mean, just look at all the extras in that pack aside from careers and career related objects: child bake sales, motorcycles, trampolines, junkyards, consignment stores, tattoo chairs, music boxes, FIVE new lot types, a dramatic new death type, etc. For better or worse, it's also where laundry showed up.
But yeah, if interior design (or better, yet, an architect career) was bundled with even sculpting and inventing* (and certainly, with those two plus firefighting and investigating), it would be a glorious day.
(I mean, between robotics and crafting, I suppose inventing is fairly well covered, though not exhaustive... but I would definitely love to see junkyards return. And on a related note, one of my favorite TS3 University features was the rabbithole option to pick up free discarded furniture from one of the campus buildings. I really miss that.)
ETA: Although now that I think about it, the fact that they keep using the word "redacted" makes me wonder whether this could be an Ambitions-style pack that also includes an investigator career? But if so, why would they make it sound like it's only one new career? Then again, sometimes the marketing for these packs is not so great and actually kills hype rather than building it. - amapola76Seasoned Hotshot

I loved that object so much. It was great for so many things. I used it for movie theaters, dance clubs, beach campgrounds. all kinds of venues. - ...Why can’t they do things that loads of people have asked for? Are they under pressure to create new ideas? I don’t get it. Sorry I’m just disappointed ☹️

Maybe maybe maybe create a style????
The only thing I won't like is if a sim hires me to change a room that I built and I love but the quest to please the client ruins my whole vision for that neighborhood. - pyjamacoolRising Traveler

Apparently it has something to do with that famous phrase that was so commented on. Now if we could try to complete that tweet since they are definitely not fairies.
Wasn't that tweet in relation to an original comment about which world and lot type you'd use? Maybe new lot types are coming, that you can 'design' as part of the career? Things like the water park mentioned in the old survey?
I wouldn't get my hopes up! This is a GP, the water park/cafes/art galleries were in an EP concept. Remember how hotels were mentioned in the survey's snowy escape concept? :'(
And I feel like if there was something more than Interior Designer, today's teasing would have hinted at it too (plus a SimGuru said "the career in the next GP") "nasch_katze;c-17884529" wrote:

They haven't been forthcoming about giving us any information about anything. And I find it hard to believe that just a career is coming in this pack, given that they've put a single career in stuff packs before. And like people say, a lot of 'interior design' is just build/buy, which is already in the game. I can't see what they're going to fill out a whole game pack with using just that stuff, although I've been disappointed before, and am prepared to be again.
