Purchsed wrong code for Christmas

Hello, 

I purchsed my daughter a code for Sims Life and Death from Amazon but it's for Xbox.  It should have been for PC.  Do we contact EA about it or Amazon?  Am I out f luck and need to sell it and buy the PC code?  The code has not been used since we don't have a newer Xbox
