btw - this isn't received too badly on Twitter because GCs (who mostly build) love it, of course.
We probably should face it: us longtime fans, us life simulation gameplay simmers who started their sims career with TS2/TS3 or even earlier just aren't the target audience of this game anymore.
They like literally give us everything besides what we want. It's like they are sitting around a table and then one Guru goes: "They want Cars!" and then the main Guru says: "That's a good idea! Let's put it on the Ideas board and go back working on the Sims 4 Journey to Your Wallet!"
You mean Journey to Poop. ^^
I'm still expecting a sequel. :D"Dakota88;c-17884245" wrote:

No, really, Im a HUGE Star Wars fan and I was SO excited when they announced it. But even as a hardcore SW fan, this pack is a total cash grab and an insult to Sims players and SW fans...- > @Dakota88 said:

Nope. If they really make this gamepack as boring and build based as I'm fearing, I'll take my $20 and give it to Paralives out of pure spite. Sigh. They've made it quite clear now that they only respond to YouTube views and massive amounts of twitter anger. That livestream yesterday when they responded to the concerns from the 411 forum. LOL. Ignored emotions, attraction systems, aspirations...basically all the gameplay concerns. I don't even know if they view our concerns as legitimate concerns that they want to work on, or that's just gonna be how it is pal take it or leave it.
Maybe I'll be proven wrong in the future with updates and packs, but as for now it feels hopeless. "Demongrad;c-17884246" wrote:

This could have been a cool pack if they had made their own SW version of The Sims, using old Sims humour, adding content broadening gameplay in general (like creating your new Alien race - why not tie in TS4 Aliens in there who were badly neglected in GTW?). But wow, mission based story driven gameplay tied to a ... vacation world ... and modeled after a THEME PARK which isn't even a theme park in game? This could have been GREAT. But it isn't.- The EP in July: Connect with nature with The Sims 4 Parks! Build the park of your dreams! Walk in it! Take your dog (sold seperately) for a walk! HOT SUMMER!!!!!!!! B) B) B) B) B) B) B) B)

I really like this as a career as I don't really have the patience to build or refurbish a house in one sitting. A room or two though? Fun. Getting paid for it? Even better.
I like the idea, it's a nice idea, so I see where you're coming from. But I just don't think gameplay needs ... THIS ... right now. People have been complaining about YA/A single sim player centered content FOREVER. And they keep dropping packs that add nothing but single sim YA/A exclusive content.- > @Dakota88 said:

Can you even imagine how much money they would have raked in if they made it a whole Disney World Theme park world? Magic Kingdom and Star Wars Galaxy Edge. Everything could have been rabbit holes and I would have been happy getting my kids disney princess dresses, mickey ears, and their own lightsabers. "Cinnabunbun;c-17884255" wrote:

I think it will be Eco Living 2.0 - build your own reservoir or safari zoo. It will come with an African world or anything non-American or non-European because this will please lots of people even though gameplay's not good. People will be a lot more mild when the game gets to be more inclusive (which is a good thing, don't get me wrong and I really would like an African World, but again: I want gameplay expanding stuff!)."Dakota88;c-17884233" wrote:

S2/S3 generation of players are definitely not the target audience anymore, and what's been said/confirmed about TS5 is proof of this.
