So no option for both? (Sexual Preference System)

So like everyone else I noticed the choices are Binary (one or the other). This post isn't about the gender diversity issues because they've already explained that one.

Now the pictures are really small so I might have missed something but there's no option to do both? You either pick interested in/interested in exploring men or women.

But there are people who would like to play bi sims. And I get that the Sims are already bi all the time as it currently stands and that's also not good but I'm really worried that they're removing that dynamic altogether from the game and making the new dynamic that you're either interested in the opposite sex or the same sex. They also can't say it's too complicated like integrating the gender diversity options because like we all know, Sims are currently programmed to be bi by default.

Also if it's the case that you can just not select tick boxes and they'll behave bi then I'm not really sure how I feel about that either because that feels like bi erasure to me.

Who you're interested in are checkboxes. You can click either, both, or neither. They openly said that asexual sims are possible, so it makes sense that clicking both boxes is as easy as clicking neither.

Whether you're open to explore is radio buttons, so you can only click one. So a sim might tend one way or the other, but not exclusively so.

Sims will default to bi. And many sims who are portrayed as straight or gay will continue to be bi in practice; Brant and Brent Hecking are canonically gay, Don Lothario is canonically straight, but the game won't stop you from romancing any of them. What this counts as is up to you.

That statement is so disturbing on so many levels. Lol
