So SimGurus decided to remove a bunch of cheats....

I read the latest announcement where the SimGurus decided to remove a bunch of cheats because the cheats were too dangerous to use. What I don't get is if those cheats were dangerous to begin with,why...

I use cheats constantly and have never experienced anything "dangerous." I seriously do believe they are limiting creative freedom, seeing as how they eliminated the color wheel from TS3, among other creative aspects.
