No way, it's almost official now the next packs will be SP13 Laundry Day Stuff and GP06 Tropical/Summer vacation

How is a tropical vacation pack considered ALMOST official when all there are is a few hints people want to believe are real?

Same as GP04 Vampires, we get some data files in the patches.

That means 3 things :
- soon = the next quarter
- game pack
- theme = tropical


But I'm not enthusiast to get another tiny world like Granite Falls and Forgotten Hollow and compared to Sunlit Tides, the best tropical world of The Sims history.

WTH ???

A sand snowman can be for OS where there is sand. And flip flop lights can be placed anywhere with an outdoor theme, even a backyard. If a surfing Santa is a hint, it is a hint for a beach theme, not a tropical theme. And those are not hints found in game files, so where are you getting a tropical theme from other than your own imagination?

There are some beach theme hints... also one of the stamps on the dogs/Cats is a seashell. Doesn’t mean it’s next, necessarily, but it’s not that far fetched. I’d probably be in the mood to buy a beach vacation pack in January or February when I’m feeling cold in real life ;)

Are you referring to what I just wrote? Since when does mentioning the fact that there is a seashell stamp equate to me saying there is going to be a tropical beach themed pack like it’s a fact? I know some people strongly believe a tropical or beach vacation is the next GP but I’m not one of those people. I’m simply pointing out it’s not outside the realm of possibility. It’s not crazy to suspect a beach theme could be next.

Frankly I don’t even care a whole lot about what is next because I will be waiting a long time for what I really want in the game. But I still like to entertain ideas. And so do most of the people who frequent this section of the forums

So, what are you waiting a long time for?

Seasons and weather, my friend. Seasons and weather. I’m hopeful it’ll be the next EP but it still feels like a long wait to go until next November. And I’d also really like an education related pack. Who knows when that may be coming, if ever.

This might be a stupid question, but why won't the developers just say what they are currently working on? What would they lose if they said hey guys we're currently working on this and that, instead of two months before releasing the game? Wouldn't people get more hyped, consider staying with ts4 and be able to make requests/wishes?

It’s:
1. Not considered data files.
2. Is not a hint. It’s a nod to the Southern Hemisphere that celebrates Christmas in summer.

Even in Florida we don’t ever get snow.

I totally agree with you. I’m not sure why they’ve chosen this hush hush approach with sims 4, but I find it frustrating at times, as I’m sure many do. There would be far less whining about people wanting seasons, for example, if they said it was the next pack (like they used to do back in the day). But... I guess that’s their choice

Omg yes this would be great at least for me I'll be excited knowing what I'll buy and what not to buy.

If only... the game would be so much better if they listened to the community we would never have got restaurants where we were forced to hire townies and only be able to work as the manager if they took suggestions while creating packs the same goes for the joke of a retail system of Get to Work.

As for the quarterly teaser I'm going with second week of January on the 9th pretty sure they got the first week off last year.
