I haven't had much experience of heaps of money in this game lol.
My sim has written two books so far, he's about level 5 I think and hasn't made much yet. I have a painter who sells them for about $150 a time, I think she's around level 4. My sims don't level up very fast as they are so busy with other things too, so I guess it depends on how you play.
But I don't like making money too easily so I will probably slow down my sims writing rate once he gets to a higher level.
It sounds as though they need to adjust the whole system though. Maybe they should add it to their ever-growing long list of 'things to fix' :D
