They have separate teams that work on these things. The GP team had just put out JA.
I do know that but things have changed lately according to EA news. Are teams still viable anyway for the PC game?
Who can say - Sims 4 was probably a small team to start with and with many transferred to Mobile development. others let go entirely its hard to know exactly what they few that are left are going to produce
AFAIK EA doesn’t make mobile games in Redwood, California where the PC version of TS4 is made. Sims Freeplay is made in Australia and Sims Mobile is made in Finland. So how could EA transfer any developers to mobile development?
Actually they do. They didn't used to - they used Salt Lake City for some and the rest at other studios ,you mentioned one and at least some in one of their Canada studios -(EA only started EA Finland in 2012) but then they expanded for the new mobile studio at Red Wood City - very much where Sims Mobile is now made and in fact where a good number of past Sims games developers and artist now work. SG Duke oversees the Sims 4 console at one and now also works on the mobile at the other studio. I even heard that right before world wide launch other Sims 4 people gave mobile studio a hand seeing Sims 4 studio has a lot more people than the mobile does. Couldn't really do that if they weren't at the same place.
EA Finland makes the Sim City Build IT mobile game by the way.
