I started the season in spring, and its been two days and now its telling me its the first day of summer. I'm a tad confused right now. Is it 7 days for the entire year of seasons?

Is this a new save or an old save? I'm guessing new saves automatically start on a Sunday, which is when the season starts. But if you are using an old save, you may have left off on a Thursday?
