Spiral Staircases

I know this one comes up a lot but I suppose there's still no news on that? I loved spiral staircases in the previous games.

Does anyone know of CC spiral staircases that are free to download? I really need some for a castle I'm building. I had a look but could only find them for Sims 2.
  • Very little animation difference in TS2 with using spiral stairs, the same waddle following the stair path. If they could do it in 2, they can do it in 4 if they want to. I very much want them back as well. Nigh unto indispensable in Victorians.
  • Yup! U's, L's, Spiral. Of course I want all but any one would be great. Or be able to put staircase on an angled wall.
  • I've got castles and mansions I have built that are crying out for a spiral staircase.
I really think it is more than about time we had them.
  • Yes, forever yes. They’re beautiful and the footprint just works better with smaller layouts.
I saw a great tutorial from Kate Emerald on making U-shaped stairs. It should not need to be that hard, though. Wish we had something like building blocks for raising individual squares and using them with steps against real walls with no issue.

I think the main challenge with spiral staircases in TS4 is accommodating varying wall heights. So far, all the stairs in TS4 work for varying heights (including foundations and slopes), so spiral staircases might have to be a special case that only works for the 3 wall heights. And even then, the devs have to think about what happens to existing spiral staircases if you change the wall height, because the top landing might change its direction in that situation (e.g. the landing faces north with short walls, but when the spiral is extended for tall walls, it might end up facing east)

TS3 has a lot of similarities to TS2, so I'm guessing that's why TS3 got them very early on in its lifespan

That said, I'd also love to have them in my game. Any additional options for my sims to live in beautiful houses are appreciated :)
