Stacking Stairs

Question

I hope this is the right place for this. I used to be able to stack stairs in this game with no issue. I've even got stacked stairs in my legacy house. But now, no matter what I do, I cannot make any stairs stack. I've tried building the bottom ones first and from the top down, but nothing. Is this glitched out of the game now or am I doing something wrong?

Did you delete the base of the stairs befor trying to stack them?

This is amazing, I thought you couldn't do this inside builds and only with stairs without a base - I had no idea you could delete the base! Thank you so much! &lt;3
