That really is the purpose of this particular NAP. If you don't like it, repeal it and chalk it up to lesson learned and don't vote for it again. It will never be an issue if you don't vote for it.
I was a little surprised to see my stuff taken, but then I thought "of course!" How fair is it that my sim can take from everyone but they can't take from me, or they can't take off community lots but I can? I guess I'm not used to thinking in a way where my actions have consequences in TS4, but I'm kind of liking that they do now and it's making me think a little more beyond what my own wants are.
That might be the purpose but it is not working the way it is supposed to. How are you supposed to have a party at your house when you know by the end of it your sim will be cleaned out? So, I guess my social butterfly sim should just stick to chatting on the computer. You can't even invite over a friend because the second they are not engaged, they steal your stuff. God forbid you invite over more than one sim! In the week I was waiting to repeal that awful action plan I lost 10,000 simoleans in personal belongings. 10,000! That's crazy!
And forget about your house! How are you supposed to have a club meeting if, when you go to a community lot for that meeting, it gets totally looted? I honestly think that is the reason people are experiencing crashes in their games because sims are taking items that are necessary requirements for the community lot. So, if you don't go into build mode and manually replace all of those items, the next time you try to send a sim there it will crash your game because, technically, the lot no longer fits the game's requirement for a community lot.
And repealing sharing is caring doesn't help because if you travel beyond the world where it has been repealed and it is being inacted elsewhere, the same thing happens. The entire concept is nerfed, point blank period.
I didn't even think about how the sims could be stealing necessary objects from the community lots. They really need to address certain issues with how these plans function. Roughhousing Encouraged, Creative Arts, and Performing Arts plans are also very very spammy where the sims repeatedly do things like fight, play with a blob of clay (also add tons of the clay blobs to their inventories!), and play violin over and over. I am sad that I am not enjoying most of the Neighborhood Action Plans more but I can't enjoy a feature that is basically just making sims repeatedly do an action over and over and over in disregard to their personality, skill levels, and so forth. I left my glowing review of this pack before I even experienced any of the NAPs but now that I am seeing them in place in all my neighborhoods I am highly disappointed in this feature and it's a HUGE mark against this pack. They need to immediately address the spammy and obnoxious nature of some of these plans!
