Stopping sim buttons getting small? Help please!

Hi guys, I've noticed that once my household gets to more than about 5 sims, the buttons for the individual sims near the speed times (I'm not sure what to call it) get really small. In old games they...

Not the sim icons, but if I have my screen resolution on the recommended one (1920x1080) all the text on screen (menus, notifications etc) is so small I can't read it.

I actually had to enlarge everything on windows 10 to 150% for the same reason.
