I like to use the "come and get it street store" from city living ex-pack or the "Salvadorian craft sales table" from the jungle adventures gamepack to store collectables in because each one has a separate inventory so that I can keep my sims collectables organized....the downside is that they take up more space than other options...I just build a basement to put them in. And yes, the herbs from outdoor retreat can go in them!
