I'm impressed with the new system too, because the level of fine control is really welcome, exactly what should please both simulation players and storytellers alike.
But would you please consider giving us an option to also disable the phone calls that came with the first wave of the neighborhood stories? Could you please make it so that sims from households marked as played can NEVER send such phone calls to my active household? I don't care if a townie from the unplayed bin calls my sims asking for advice, that's perfectly okay. Just not my own sims, please!
I don't know how to better explain just how much those phone calls from my own sims rub me the wrong way, but I've seen similar sentiments expressed on the forums.
