I have a huge dorm in 50x50 lot for teenagers.
Once my sim Zoe walked FOR ONE SIM HOUR from one end to the other end of 50x50 lot to get to the communal party area.
She walked only for using the counter in there, holding her chopping board she got from her fridge.

It almost made me insane, but kinda funny to watch her nice-dressed-holding-chopping-board-feminine-walk.
I just sat back and was like "Okay go ahead, cook there and late for school and fail."
Not to be surprised, she walked back again to use the stove in her kitchen.
This is like my scientist sim at work in the science lab who when I tell to go chat with someone on the other side of the lot (to complete a daily task), he walks all the way over to the other sim and they both then walk to where my sim was originally standing (On The Other Side of the Lot) before they start chatting. Of course, this happens in other situations too, but is especially annoying when trying to complete my daily tasks at work.
