Stupidity (my sim) in the snow...

My sim, Mario Goth decided to strip off and play in the snow...

I didn't prompt him to do so, but I didn't stop him either. I wanted to see if common sense would kick in...

It didn't...

But he did get dressed before he died... Cherish (wife) tried to plead but failed.

I haven't seen the AI be this bad before, or have I just been lucky?

On a bad AI related note...

Here's Vlad, out for a walk in the sun, burning to death in a hideous outfit. I had to have a sim introduce herself and then tell him goodbye because he was stood there for ages. When she said goodbye he went back to standing there, but whipped out an umbrella this time!

  • I have had so many sims freeze to death! Apparently common sense does not exist when it comes to the snow and cold.
  • Common sense? Sims? They don't go well together. Silliness fits them better!

First time I got the notice I had a Sim freezing to death, it scared me. I had to come over here to see how to stop it. Turns out the operative word was freezing (as in the process of) and I had time to act. I didn't bother to take a picture at that time. But when it came to my potential singer Sim, you can bet I nearly panicked. And, just in case, I did capture it.

Nice to know he's alive and well.

  • My family's maid decided to go swimming in their pool, in the middle of a blizzard on Winterfest so I feel your pain. Now I have his grave and I don't know what to do with it.

My singer's family had Butlers. Yes, plural. I erroneously had that rock climbing device out in their massive back yard, and of course it breaks in inclement weather. On his own he decided to fix it. Got shocked, but still he didn't defer his duty. Next thing I knew Grimmie arrived. A day or so later another Butler came around the corner at the back of the house and took over. So, I had two graves. I just had my Sim drag the grave stones inside, so they became urns. He released them to the Netherworld and destroyed the urns. Voila no more graves in the yard.
  • I go to festivals and see several Sims turning blue and freezing to death because they don't have the sense to change into their cold weather outfits. I've currently got weather effects turned off to prevent the random weather deaths (before I did that both Geoffrey and Nancy Landgraab died, leaving Malcolm as a teen to raise his toddler sister).

I should do that. It's a quasi-legacy so I have a lot of graves (I'm on gen 5!) but I don't want random maid graves to get in the way.
