Suggestion for lots available in future content

While there has been an outcry from more lots in new worlds given to us, we have been told the downsize it maximize performance. Which makes sense since they need to make sure the game can be played by the maximum number of people.

So I was thinking like other games have done and that is to offer an "ultra" option that is for people that have high-end computers and it unlocks more lots for those that can handle it. This way those who wouldn't be able to handle more lots can still enjoy the game at the optimized version the development teams deems suitable.

Just a thought.
  • Wish I suggest something but never played sims 4 before..wish it come to switch .-.

Never knew there were games that did that. That's interesting. :*

Is be curious to see that but I can't help but feel people will complain about being locked out of content just because of specs. Though I feel like it may have more to do with the performance of the game than the players specs for the most part.

I feel like people wanting more lots and worlds can be fixed if we just had a create a world tool so we can add as many worlds as we want and also just delete them if your computer isn't going to be able to handle it. Just the player having the choice would be great.

But I wouldn't mind see how that would play out having more lots unlocked if you play on ultra. Honestly though there's a lot of gameplay in get there's just so much space for more lots.

Personally, I'd like to see multi purpose lots.
The ability to have a lot that is 3 things at once would solve a lot of the 'too few lots' problem.
Imagine having a cafe and an arcade on the ground level, and an apartment above.
Or a bar with two apartments above it.
A restaurant with a nightclub in the basement, and a detective agency upstairs.

Combining our ideas would be even better still!

Yes, so much this. It'll give me some purpose for those 64x64 lots and apartments desperately need something else since they don't even have basic amenities.

I agree as I would love to see what this game can actually do and it just frustrates me that I can't. However with this version it will never happen. I simply can never say Sims 4 is the best version as it fails for me to show me what it got.
  • @LadyKyn That's a good point. And while I wasn't fond of the CAW tool as I found it to not be very user-friendly and that it ran poorly on lower spec computer, I think something between that and the Sims 2 town creator would be perfect.

@Movotti Oh now that's a fantastic idea! Also would give more life to the big city worlds as well! Del Sol, for example, would really benefit from that and fit the aesthetic perfectly.

Yeah. CAW for 3 I found to be complicated making me not want to use it. People that were able to make use of it with a lot of time made some really beautiful worlds. (Most better than those $35 worlds) Sims 2 was simple but you had multiple empty preset maps to choose from which I always thought was great. Something simple like that with some customization to choosing backdrops, when it gets dark and what kinda weather to have in that world would go a long way.
