[Sulsul] Have you ever...?

👗Have you ever deleted all the default families and characters?

🌍Have you ever deleted all the default lots and started over from scratch?

I love building, and I love spending time in CAS mode. I'd like to reset my lots and families to zero so I can start all over again. If you've tried this too and feel like it, please share your experience. 👇I'm genuinely curious.🤭

Cool!  I don't know anything about using MCCC.  Maybe it lets you control the NPC respawn.  😄

💚Sul Sul! Thank you so much for sharing all of this, it's super helpful! Your Strangerville sounds amazing, and I'm sure you did a fantastic job. I'll definitely head over to check out your thread and leave a like! 👽

➡️Yesterday I installed MC Command Center and used it to delete all the Sims, and today I'll be clearing out the lots manually. There's a mod that adds extra debug options, but I try to keep script mods to a minimum since too many running at once can cause problems. I'm a big CC fan though! 👀

Thanks again for the tips on the respawn mechanics and the lots tied to gameplay, I'll keep those in mind. 😊 And thank you for your time, I really appreciate it 💚

Sul Sul!   Yes!  I did.  Strangerville.  I'm having fun with it.  I deleted or reworked most of the lots.  The lab can't be deleted and I get that.  I renovated the lots that are key to the Strangerville Mystery but did not change their lot type - Library and Bar.
I started a sci fi thread here called Out Of This World and it was moved to the Creative Corner.  Screenshots of the new lots are there.  All things alien / sci fi 👽🌘 and hope that others will share there.  [shameless plug]  LOL  😉

    1. I saved the original houses to My Library in Gallery before deleting them just in case.  Like you said, I'd never done this before and I wanted to be able to go back if it didn't work out.
    2. I wish I'd taken a screenshot of the Before and After map.
    3. Having a theme made it more fun for me and gave an aesthetic purpose for the World.
    4. Biggest Challenge: finding plants / rocks / ground cover in Debug that matched the landscaping used in the world's common areas.  I'm sure there's a mod for that.  I've avoided script mods so far.
    5. Challenge:  In general making my theme builds work with the common areas that I can't change.  Finding a design balance that works.

I think replacing lots are much more achievable than deleting all NPC because of respawning mechanisms.  There are certain lots that the game uses for events and/or are linked to the gameplay, like the Lab in Strangerville.  The park in Willow Creek was used recently for events where you were instructed to meet someone there.  There are Immortal NPC that I don't think you can delete.  Someone probably knows more about it.    Hope this helps.
