Liminal spaces on a lone dusty highway. Futuristic high tech labs. Alien homes. Astronaut's lounge I will start with highlighting the exceptional builds I found in Gallery while redesigning Strangerville.
Starting with this exceptional Research Station by Jezabeeel.
I made a few interior design changes from Jezabeeel's original. The overall structure, floorplan and most of the interior design is all Jezabeeel. It's very playable. I changed out showerheads and added a tub. Added rugs. As you do.
There's a master bedroom with private bath. Four single beds with a shower room separate from the toilet room which works great in gameplay. On the first floor is a medical bay. Looked very cool. I changed some non interactive items and put weight lifting machine and a exercise bike in there.
I converted the small secluded room on right to music / video editing space.

Harvest to Table in one room!
One my favorite rooms, ever. I don't know how DarkEpsilon747 curved the cabinets but it is a very workable space. The view looks out over the bluff with red rocks. Plenty of room for parties. Lower right side you can see a corner of the fountain at the entrance that makes a nice sound. On the left side I placed a speaker on the wall so they can dance and have music when cooking. This family has cats and the food bowl is here. You can see the rocket from here too.
"Together, we compute!" Sims go straight for the Captain's chair that's on a raised platform. They love to watch TV from there. But, if your Sim needs quiet computer time there are two desks on the second level.
On the second floor are three large bedrooms and bath. One bedroom is designed for children with bunk beds and a very cool play area. (I'm not sharing all so you can be surprised if you use this build.) I added a sleep pod and more workout equipment. I put a rock climbing machine in one of the small towers. Had to resize it one click, not difficult. Couldn't find my pic of the living room. I'll add it later. It's cozy. An astronaut, a scientist, computer nerds and a chef have lived here in my save. I'm sure you can tell - I love the Moon Castle.
A charming 2 bedroom/2 bath family home lit by neon and landscaped with Sixam plants. The patio on the second floor is a nice hangout with a bar and grill. Originally there were two large round structures supporting the second level at the back of the house. My family had dogs and I removed the supports to make a dog yard. Now the second level cantilevers with alien tech? Sure. Why not! disturbedyoyo designed the lighting perfectly and the house is very cozy.
The third level has a cool vibe and red lights. It's empty and I'm waiting for inspiration to strike. It came with a rocket and a transporter / portal to Sixam. I forget the device's actual name. Maybe I'll fill it with alien rocks and plants. My alien girlie is about to explore her origin story. 👽
Wow, these builds are so impressive. I hope someone shares a story that features these builds. I'd love to read all the creative ways they can be imagined. In the meantime I'll simply download it because its so pretty... 😍
Right??!!! Cool builds! The terrain work on the Research Station is way beyond my abilities. It's hard to tell the floorplan sometimes from the Gallery thumbnails and I wanted people to see them.
