Super Sim Question

I’m currently doing my first Super Sim. I have ran into a delema I hope those of you who have done this can help me. My sim is doing the food tier and has completed the Chef Aspiration. Now he needs to do the mixologist one. How do I get him into the Mixologist career now? He made it to the top of the chef career. Any advice?

You can't without using mods, as far as I'm aware. There is a cheat code that you can use to get demoted, but it won't demote you past the branch choice (unless that was changed in a recent patch...but I don't think it was).

If you are open to using mods, MCCC allows you to do it.

For future reference, if you ever do this again, don't pick the Chef branch. You aren't required to advance Chef at all for either aspiration. The master chef only requires the "culinary" career, which is the base career for both, so if you had picked Mixologist in the first place you could have done both aspirations without mods.

I’m sorry, I wrote that backwards. I did do the Mixologist career first. I need to do the chef now. My apologies and I do have Mccc.

Does the Fresh Chef aspiration not give you credit when in the Mixologist career path any longer? It doesn't call out for the Chef branch in the aspiration goals.

EIther way, if you do need to back out to go into the Chef branch, Click a sim and select "MC Command Center"->"MC Cheats"->"Cheat Sim Info"->"Career Cheats"->"Reset Career Branch"

I typed that out off of memory, so I may have the exact things you need to click in order wrong, but it should steer you close enough to find it.

I’m just pretty sure it was my mistake. I’ll just reset the career through mccc. I didn’t realize you could do that. Thank you so much for your help.

You can switch career branches now if you have Discover University & your Sim earns the appropriate degree or the mixology certificate. However, there is currently a bug where the career rewards for the second career do not all properly unlock after switching.

This is correct. The mixology career can be used to complete both the master chef and master mixologist aspirations.

That is an excellent point, with a degree you can skip the career branch choice entirely and go straight into the branch of your choice, provided you have the degrees. I knew that...but yet, did not think of it for this application. Good looking out, m8!
