The quality of the items looks good. Ths slumberparty feels like what I have been looking but couldn't find in the simtimates kit.
But I have some reservations. We are already getting a dozen kits a year. Will these creator kits come on top of those? Well there goes my hope of ever downloading gallery builds with all building objects in my game. At least the creator kits shouldn't mean fewer releases of real gameplay content like regular kits because EA doesn't have to create the items themselves. Well in theory because the sims team once said the same about their own kits and then we had no SP for two years and now the GP are missing.
And what will the effect of this be on CC in the long run. Until now EA explicitly said CC should be free and only early access is allowed. But now they have opened the door to CC as a money making machine rather than a dedicated fan project.
So I have mixed feelings. It is nice that creators can get something for their work but it changes the sims community to something that has to be profitable.

I get what you mean; it blurs the lines between CC (with early access 3 week periods) and buying creator kits. Will that change what the custom creators make in the future that they end up releasing for free? Will EA limit what concepts/themes/ideas they're allowed to make a kit about in the future?
Also, I agree that the slumber party kit has some of the same looks/feelings as the simtimates kit, just for all ages. I felt like simtimates was more for YA/Adult sims to be used in a romantic setting (along the lines of Lovestruck), where slumberparty kit looks more wholesome.
