Talking Teenagers
Hey Simmers, Wow, it's been literally 3 years since I was on the forums, no lie. I've just been getting back into The Sims 4 over the past few days, and I have a serious question for you all... ...

I’m sure there are players who’ll favour CAS over gameplay. But if they’ll just make sure there’s enough clothes for each life stage, seriously.... we’re not playing the game to dress them are we? Besides, modders can do that, dress sims.
Uhhhhhh.....?????
*nervous laugh* of course not????
1. So...my point was, that Parenthood offered some game mechanics that make teens separate from others age groups and that at least in my game I find I have enough assets to further distinguish them by how I style them.
2. That if teens were a separate height category that they would suffer from the same CAS droughts that plague children and toddlers.
And yes, some people probably do play Sims just to dress and style sims and there’s nothing wrong with that, just like there’s nothing wrong with playing just to build, blog, make machinimas, let’s plays, cc haul videos and so on. My focus is telling the stories in my head, playing dress up with my pixels, and interior decorating and remodeling builds. Others have a different agenda altogether and that’s equally valid.
True, but if one specific playing style dictates that other people's playing style (the simulating their lives part) would be sacrificed/limited, that would be a shame. After all, the internet is filled with custom outfits anyway.
I don’t think the premise of that statement even makes sense. They have added gameplay mechanics in the Parenthood pack that are specific to teens, could they be improved? Likely so, I even suggested one, or two. The only thing I really don’t want to see is a height difference because of what I said in no. 2. They would require a wholly separate clothing category that would end up as bare bones and limited as the ones or toddlers and kids.
They have, but the looks of the teens are a considerable problem for many people. To have an adult behaving like a teen just doesn’t cut it for everyone. I really do want to see height difference myself, it’s a game and I need to see in one glance I’m dealing with a teen while playing. Let them add a substantial outfit department for them and if that’s still not sufficient you can download tons of custom made clothes.
