Here's my two families the Aguirre family and the Donaghue family, joined in marriage for all eternity but not quite all hitting it off. Cristobal and Lyra Aguirre are from Selvadorada and were left on their own at a young age. Cristobal went out into the world with nothing and made his millions travelling and now has a vineyard in Chestnut Ridge. He left his young sister Lyra behind to attend school and returned to provide a better life for them but found she's quite capable of making her own way in the world and wants to start her own business selling her crafted jewellery. She has taken on an old family home in Tartosa from a distant relative, she's redecorated and made it her own. She's getting ready to buy her first retail store and she's keen to do it alone except for some seed money from her brother.

Cinnamon Donaghue also built her own business empire with her own two hands and now has 2 popular flower shops in Magnolia Promenade and Mt Komorebi. The latter includes a second home. She has a clifftop mansion in Brindleton Bay. Sister Saffron went away to college and now teaches there. When she graduated she had to suffer staying with the perfect Cinnamon for a while but it led her to meet Cristobal while he was out riding his horse along the beach. It was love at first sight and now they have a son, Shay and live happily at the vineyard where they also rescue horses. Shay is the image of his dad but has a mischievous side. He loves animals and helps take care of the stables. He's often to be found bunking off in Moonwood Mill when he should be in school, his classmates love him because of his pranks. Cinnamon has struggled to be part of her sister's happiness and mostly keeps her distance unless invited over. But she adores her nephew like everyone else does.

A long lost Aunt arrived on Cinnamon's doorstep during Winterfest but Saffron is highly suspicious. Cinnamon welcomed her with open arms as she was feeling very lonely. But Saffron has no interest in getting to know their Aunt Libby. Cinnamon is just happy to find at least one person she had an instant connection with.

Cinnamon just can't seem to fit in with the Aguirre family but perhaps it's just because she was knee deep in begonias working 24/7 when her sister met a handsome millionaire, got married and had a child. If Cinnamon ever had time to visit her own local beach maybe it would have been her that met a millionaire instead and maybe she'd have a child of her own. But her luck finally changed recently during a trip to a local garden centre at a really low time. She was asked out by the owner, farmer Randall who proposed unexpectedly after a few dates and since her flower shops are doing well too maybe she'll be easier to get along with. Lyra is trying to be a peacemaker and visits Cinnamon to build bridges but it's not easy to talk to her. Still, at least Lyra gets to visit the dogs too as she'd love one of her own.
