As many of you know there are outfits in the sims that are locked as a reward and your sim has to earn them by completing a career or visiting a specific festival. Just add her to your household. You can delete her afterwards but the unlocks will stick to your household and all the outfits will be available. The only ones that are not unlocked with this sim are the ones from nifty knitting. This is intentional because I like to create these outfits for my sims through gameplay. The nifty knitting outfits have a cheat code to unlock them. I wish we could get a cheat to unlock all clothing across all packs. Ooh another goal to add for my sim family. Thanks for sharing. I've never paid much attention to which outfits are locked but now I'm definitely going to focus on unlocking them.

I'm just the opposite, I actually like that those are locked. But yes I am goal oriented player.I actually dislike that everything is right there available in CAS, as I prefer TS2 style to buy my sims clothing from store (TS2 also had loading screens, so im used to) , but I totally get that not many like the hassle and all being there already in CAS is very handy.

I think these are two different things in my opinion.I like all assets that were created to be available when we first create a sim. But once the sim is in the world it makes no sense to have an infinite free wardrobe. I wish our sims had to go shop for clothing to get a new outfit (with all existing clothing available for purchase), and not just get it all for free.

Which game was it that you had to make friends with a sim to unlock an article of clothing they were wearing? I remember always making it a goal to befriend the homeless guy to unlock his outfit.

I'm not sure if anyone already said this, but I do like that the worlds that I pay for with real money lol - as well as the stuff packs and etc - have the clothes for "free"...because like I said, I spent real world money on them. Too much money. Which is...honestly something I don't like about Sims. I think it would be better to buy the game then have all the worlds and etc as free updates, like every single other game that I play. But you know. Capitalism and greed and all that.

I agree that we need a master unlock cheat for CAS (as well as at least one more column). Builders get to unlock everything in the game that they can use with a few different cheats, but stylists don't? There are so many Get Famous outfits that I love to use for my Occults, eccentrics and historic and fantasy Sims but I have to bring in an external mod to do it.

Can we please, PLEASE get a master cheat for all clothing and accessories, plus one for all Occult features like eyes, markings, scars, pointed ears, etc? I really want to use them interchangeably to create more unique characters. It's such a bummer that we can't access them as needed. ?

Scary amount of locked things there. Didn't realize so many until you pointed it out, Atreya. There is a mod out there that does the unlocking. Learned about it a few years ago here on the forums. I forget who made it so need to wake the game up to check. While I've not used evrything, have taken advantage many times over the years.

I completely forgot about some of the outfits that are locked. I’ve been automatically typing in: CAS.UnlockByTag
for the past 4 years just to get the jewelry & cloak.

Which items/which pack did you unlock with this cheat? As far as I know this cheat only exist for 4 DLC and I haven't found jewellery in those ones.

Indeed... To bypass the other items that are hidden when locked, you have to go to the Gallery and get a household with CASUnlock. You may then remove the sims there and (depending on time) (almost) all the outfits are unlocked. Most of them are career unlocks, some of them have to be purchased, few of them are unlocked in a special way.

Ever since The Sims 2, careers unlocked new outfits to your sim to wear. Just that The Sims 3 made non-locked clothing available at all times, so the unlocked clothing stands out more there.

Omg, I am so happy I found this thread! There is some awesome CAS stuff locked there. I didn't even know most of that existed. I will be using MCC to make sure these are automatically unlocked from now on!

I use the CAS.UnlockByTag all the time to unlock outfits & accessories.
FYI: Did you know that there’s a western hat in Get Famous pack. I just found out in June after having & playing the pack for over 5 years. Yup, I’m not the most observant player. Lol???
