They said that they didn't add traits for sims so they could focus on the new lot traits. They actually said that, for TWO new lot traits that are very university specific.
So far the only point I can see to going to college is to spend money. Sounds like a sim could work their up the same career just as fast by working the career and getting paid or paying to go university for the "university experience". AKA juice pong and keg stands.
