The I'm Bored Thread
I don't think I'm the only one. I would like to hear from others like me who are bored with the game and or the entire franchise. I think my boredom is starting to spill over into the entire franchi...

I can't agree TS4 allows for more creativity. The tiny hoods are one problem. What if I want a bar, a hangout, a theater, a restuarant, a motel, a business office, you know most towns have a business district with some insurance companies, attorney offices, clothes' stores, maybe an antique shop next to something, maybe a sports bar, a daytime eatery bar, a cafe, some other shops. But none of that's possible to build a little corner for business lots and daytime lunch cafes etc. WC is the only one I remember that can have four lots next to each other that would even barely qualify for a little business district. If I can't build it, how can I play it? TS4 is way too restrictive with land plots and street design.
Fully agree. The legacy of the online origins of this debacle where the world is 'no touchy-touchy'. Newcrest has 3 clusters of lots, so that one might work as well.
True but the backgrounds and dirt paths beside and behind the lots in a row take away from the atmosphere some of try to build. That MP might work but then if we just use it as a business district it is very limited indeed, and it is one of the most unused worlds in the game by the townies. I can send a Sim there to shop or do whatever, but there are very rarely any Sims in that world (other than a few showing up at a clothes store etc.) and the park they threw in (Or just wide open space in MP) is so unused and a waste of space since we can't even edit it or build in that huge area to fill it with things or lots that could attract more Sims. MP is one lonely little district /world. Newcrest is way too restrictive because of the surrounding scenery and dirt paths etc. I really think I'm still the only person who is annoyed that just across the street from my Sims are rows and rows of fake buildings facing my Sims home (replaced gym in WC) and I can't build one business type lot across from them. My Sim can't even walk on the opposite sidewalk across from their home, when we had come so far with TS3 to cross the street....it's not about open world per se but believablity.
