I think it's totally worth it now. Most things actually work as advertised (without mod fixes) since the last patch. Definitely not worth it if you don't like to have weddings or do events though. At that point you'd be buying it just for the BB/CAS catalog and the World. In that case I'd say wait until its in the 50% off sales.
