I play similarly to you and get what your saying as so far I haven't seen much gameplay I care about. Plus we probably have two to three years minimum for us to have a game so I'm not really investing much in paralives yet.
However, while they have said they aren't doing supernatural themes at launch, they haven't said they are never doing them. So I do have some belief (considering how much they listen to feedback and the popularity of occults) that there will one day be gameplay for us fantasy types.
Again though, tempered expectations and limited excitement as I am expecting a long wait to see anything I can actually play from paralives.
