Heck, Stardew Valley was made by just one person and it has so much more gameplay, depth and fun than any Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons game for me.
This past year particularly has been a train wreck for The Sims 4 and Maxis. The current state of the game is so buggy, you'd think EA were a small indie company.
Stardew Valley sure do and yeah some of these Indie companies do put EA/Maxis to shame.
