They always leave hints although some people like to pretend they dont. They used a calendar to hint about seasons too. I believe this is one as well.

Good catch. C&D had that seasonal calendar. It's plausible this could be a hint to a beach pack too

Well, you are in the speculation section... That's what we do here... Discuss about possible hints in game, in things the gurus say etc.

Because I don't think they're certain about release dates at all 6 months in advance. But they can give a vague hint of the next pack (an image of a tropical island).

How is this taking something too far? People did the EXACT SAME THING we're doing right now when Cats and Dogs came out and there was the swatches of the 4 seasons on the calendar and that was real. Heck, we were even saying that about a toddler book that came with toddlers that linked to weather and even though the SimGurus said it was just a cute thing they wanted to add, it was a hint to Seasons, so how is this taking something too far? And explain this to me, what relevance does a tropical world have to StrangerVille? They have no relevance. We all know that EA likes to put small hints in for the players who notice and like to speculate. Also, having barbecue sauce in Perfect Patio made sense since there was a new barbecue and new outfits with aprons that tied directly into the barbecue. Also, barbecue sauce is something most people would want to have on their patio if they're barbecuing and there also was new clutter items that linked to the barbecue so. It's not taking things too far. It's judging in-game hints that EA and the SimGurus have put in before and have been PROVEN TRUE and looking at them in context of the situation at hand.
