Like: new emoticons, character creation and interactions
Don't like: inability to color things in the environment using a color wheel, patterns, etc, of my choosing.
Like: quick loading
Don't like: camera positioning, even when options are set to Sims 3, you can no longer zoom in and see things from a 'sims viewpoint' which is a major issue when decorating. It also forces you to play the game with walls down most of the time, whereas I prefer walls up. The way zooming is now restricted to certain angles - makes that almost impossible.
Don't like, inability to react with the world like before, instead getting a load screen. In Sims 3 you could stop along the way on your jog, bike ride, car ride, etc, to pick up metals, interact with people or animals, etc. Now you have to just go to where it is you want to go on the map instantly with no interactions.
Like: new occupations, and requirements for advancing
Don't like: Inability to specify sims life spans, predetermined amount are all that is available instead of a sliding scale.
Don't like: loss of toddlers.
