What I liked:
I LOVE the new emotions the Sims have, it makes them more human-like and deeper then just a simple program you can manipulate and outsmart
I am thrilled that you can multitask and have group conversations
I love the career paths you can take, where you essentially have two career paths for space, entertainment, artist, etc.
The graphics and character creation tools are indeed a step up from the last games and a great improvement
I really like that you can travel between worlds
What I dislike:
This is an empty shell of a game. You did a extreme skeleton job to rush it out the door and it just feels like you wanted to rush the game out to the shelves so you can make money, than take the time to finish the game with all of its content
No toddlers or pools? Really? See above dislike for my feelings on that
There's far less content that the base Sims 3. Even with this games upgrades, the Sims 4 is a severe downgrade of a game because of that
Each world have only roughly 20 lots. HUGE downgrade from the 100+ from the Sims 3 and puts a HUGE limit on the people who like to build and design houses, venues, etc.
NO STORY PROGRESSION?!?!?!?!?! That's a HUGE limit on game play!!
What I suggest:
Give a free update, in a timeframe of a few days, that puts a full game's content into the base game, how it should have been when you released it. Also, add in some things that the base Sims 3 didn't have, like weather. Maybe not seasons, but a weather system would be great
I know some people love that you took out Story Progression, and some people want to see you hang from the neck until your feet quit kicking for taking it out. Very simple fix to make everyone happy, make it optional in the game options menu
Make your worlds bigger. Like, hugely bigger. 4-5 times as big. Let people build and make their worlds how they want to make them like you did in your previous games
My overall thoughts on this game:
Huge let down and a big waste of money. I have gone out of my way to tell people not to buy this game until things have been added, either by patches or expansions. I had big hopes for this game and was really let down by the lack of effort put into this game by you guys. Especially after the huge flop your last big release was of SimCity (Whch I'm still mad at and still haven't played since launch week) If you keep letting your fans down like this with your Sim franchise, I am seriously doubting ever seeing a Sims 5
