I've played just since Sims 2, and I understand that without all of the EPs like I have on TS3 the game is going to feel very parred down.
Likes:
Emotions! It's great how they influence the things that my character does and give boosts for different actions.
The UI: Some people may hate it, but it feels very slick. Maybe not extremely intuitive, but half the fun is tinkering (for me).
Graphics: I like the new gfx, but I might be in my own camp for that.
Smooth Running: My PC isn't low end, but it's not high end either. I like that it can hold up well with Sims 4. Sometimes running TS3 sucks.
Dislikes (or Could Be Improved):
Time Dilation: It really feels like it takes FOREVER to do anything. It shouldn't take my Sim 25 minutes to pee, or 15 mins to walk around her tiny house.
Jobs: I'm hopeful that the jobs get fleshed out, because while there are some great options that tie in with your aspirations/traits, it's still a little dull.
Neighborhoods: They're just too small, and having to teleport/travel between them is ridiculous. I miss my open world in TS3. Please bring it back.
Public Spaces: Still no idea what you were going with there.
All in all, I do like the Sims 4. It's not blowing me away. Please listen to our feedback and take into consideration just how much fans of the Sims love the worlds that we create, and the lives that we simulate.
