I have been playing for a little over a week now and for the most part love The Sims 4. I will miss my towns and the 124 occupants that lived there in The Sims 3, but I like the more focused play of "4". The graphics are really above and beyond anything we've seen before and some of the interactions are really cool and even, at times, unexpected and that makes it even better.
Couple of annoying points: First, and I know I'm restating what has been said a million times, the lack of a color wheel for clothes and styles is completely unacceptable. It's like you gave us the ability to create much more stylized Sims but then took away the things that help make them unique, like clothes and hair color. I find that most of the time I can't find colors to match in the clothing categories. Then, when it comes to furniture, it's almost impossible to find colors that will allow a room to look like its a set.
I also think you might have gone overboard with things breaking down. Not all Sims want to be repair gurus and the cost of replacing gets ridiculous and, in most cases, messy (time taken to mop things up). I know the higher priced items don't break as much but especially the toilets and sinks are a little over the top. How many times have you had to replace those items in real life?
I'd like to see more lots per town but as I look at the map, I think that may happen with EP's. It looks like the map has a lot of room for expansion. I think the neighborhood sizes may stay the same but additional neighborhoods may be coming later.
All together I think The Sims 4 is a good game....it just needs a little tweaking to make it a great one.
