I'm reposting the quote (see below). It was made to GuruGraham on the Guru Discussion that has been closed, so I'm putting it here because I think these are some fantastic ideas. I've not been one to support bringing back toddlers because I was like, "who cares!" I hardly ever used them in Sims 3 anyway but after reading this quote (it was made by a Simmer named Grace...something, well you know who you are!) If these kinds of interactions were added to a future EP I would definitely support and buy that product.
Really like the idea of preteens too. That's something that hasn't been explored before and has a lot of potential. It could even lead to teens being a little more adult (but not completely)and really make the stretch from infant, to toddler, child, pre-teen, teen, young adult much more cohesive.
For babies:
- A rocking chair a mummy / daddy sim sits in to feed baby
- A rug object with toys that the baby is put on to learn to sit up / learn to roll over / learn to crawl
- Something similar to this: http://babiesgottahaveit.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/tiny-princess-gymini-move-n-play-1024x688.jpg
For toddlers:
- To be in the game ASAP!
- All the functionality from previous games - plus some extra mischief and tantrum throwing. What about an interaction to "pull out pots and pans" from a kitchen counter? Or "Pull out flour" and make a total mess? Fun fun XD
For Children:
- I love kids in the Sims 4, but I feel they should be able to 'play tag' once more. Plus some more of the fun games we had in TS2 - Mary Mack, Cops and Robbers.
Can we also please have preteens to break up the HUGE jump kids make in the game? Especially because teens and adults are the same height. They could want to 'try on mum's makeup', 'buy a magazine', they could hit puberty and have all sorts of horrible emotions, have fan crushes that send them crazy. I think it would be lots of fun.
Love the game so far - I think it has the potential to be a really really awesome Sims game. Done right, it might even turn out as the best. So thanks for taking our feedback and questions. I can't wait to see what comes out next!
