I would just like to add a few things to my previous post now that I have been playing the game for a longer period of time. I am still enjoying the game but there are a few things that are really beginning to bug me.
After playing for over a week and after doing a lot of gardening and some digging my Sim looks like she should be a poster in an anatomy class that could be used to identify all of the muscles in the body. I can't stand to look at her and keep her in pants and long sleeved tops all the time now. It is absolutely horrible!
There are numerous other bugs and glitches that need to be fixed:
The maid - he doesn't come and I am charged for his services every time I start the game, and every time I travel. I can't fire him.
The gardening - not being able to graft is preventing me from finishing the aspiration of Botanist. The plants that I need can be found
in the world, but can not be harvested. I have been playing for a week and frequently go back to check but they are never ready for
harvesting.
Things constantly breaking is making me crazy. It is never just one thing, it is usually 3 at the same time even when no one is using the
items which are breaking.
I know there are more, but these are the ones that I am experiencing and that are bothering me the most.
The fact that we have not gotten any feedback from EA/Maxis on this thread or any of the bug threads is also beginning to bother me. I hope they intend to do something about the issues with The Sims 4 and not ignore them like they did in The Sims 3. I understand that the changes that were made to the game were in part because of all of the issues in the Sims 3. It is for that reason that I am ok with the changes made to the game because for the most part this game runs much smoother and better than Sims 3. As great as the Sims 3 was in concept the truth is it never worked. In all there were approximately 154 bugs in that game and only 22 of those were fixed. It was for this reason that I was very hesitant to get the Sims 4.
The Sims is a very expensive game, and with the additional EP's it just keeps getting more and more expensive. I love the game, and I don't mind paying the money for a game that works. As much as I love the game, this time around I will not be paying for games that do not work or live up to what the developers say they will do. The gardening is a basic and already it doesn't work the way it should, and that was something that stopped working in the Sims 3 and was never fixed. I will not spend another dime on the game if the issues with the base game are not fixed and hopefully, they will be fixed soon. You have a shot here EA with a game that could be great, don't blow it, and please don't blow off your loyal fans. You opened this thread, I hope you are reading it and listening to what we are saying here. A response would be nice.
