I have to admit I didn't think I was going to like Sims 4. With the list of things left out constantly growing, I almost wanted to hate it out of spite. But I have been enjoying myself, and there's a lot of potential there for Sims 4 to be the best sims game of all time.
My likes and disliked are pretty similar to what other's have listed.
Likes:
-moods
-harder game play
-multitasking
-more populated lots
-seems more stable than sims 3.
Dislikes:
-the fact that so much content has been taken out. I know the official statement is that nothing is taken out so that it can be sold separately, but it's not like EA is going to come out and admit to ripping customers off. And that's what I feel like, like I've been ripped off.
-no pools
-no todlers
-teens that are exactly the same as adults (and no, "it's too hard to make another sized sim!" is not a good excuse, and I'm honestly surprise someone from EA would come out with an excuse that makes them look so lazy.)
-no story progression
-no family tree
-no auto roof, roofing for unusual shaped housing in general looking a mess.
-no NPC. I miss police and firemen.
Stuff I thought I'd hate/would miss but don't:
-no open world. Not missing this too much, and I do enjoy the better performance. But it does make it annoying when you have a poor family that needs to use public lots. Sending a kid to the park to skill something is boring to watch and I can't do anything with the rest of the family unless they come along.
-no ghosts.
-no CAS.
-smaller world.
-no cars. Ties is with not minding the small world.
