The Sims 4 Feedback Thread - come share yours

I've been playing Sims for as long as I can remember, I was SO excited about TS4, I was crazy excited but, when I sat down and actually started playing...I slowly got more and more disappointed.

Things I Like:
1. The CAS is great, you can make the Sims look a lot more like real people which is good.
2. The Personality is pretty great too. (There are some things I don't like, but I'll get into that in a bit)
3. The way you build houses and rooms, it's so much easier now and you can customize things a lot better.
4. Some of the new jobs that are available.
5. A lot of the new items
6. The bars and lounges
7. The fact that there is still, Child, Teen, Young Adult, Adult and Elder
8. I most definitely LOVE the Multi-tasking they can do now, it's fantastic!
9. The Emotions the Sims have
10. The Music
11. The different skills you can aquire
12. The different things you can do on the computer with your Computer Programming Skills
13. The types of walks
14. The realistic ways the Sims find out if they're pregnant or not (Pregnancy Test)

Things I didn't Like:
1. What is wrong with the babies when you have a baby?? I was very upset about that! There's a terrible glitch with the babies, they look like monsters!
2. Why can you only have three personality traits now?
3. What happened to Toddler?
4. There aren't very many options when socializing
5. You can't tilt the camera
6. The world is closed! I hate that! I love playing with the world and having them venture like that!
7. Why do they just *poof* when they have work or school? I think that's really crappy.
8. Why can't you view their stats while they're at work or school?
9. I'm short and when I tried to make myself, it didn't look very much like me because you guys still haven't incorporated a height tool which I think you could make a LOT more money off of, I know some people who aren't too into Sims because you can't change the height!
10. Why are there locked items again with no story mode? I understand that leveling up in a job gets certain items unlocked but there isn't much variety or choice with the items.
11. I liked in TS3 where, if you've read and learned from a book as much as you could, it wasn't an option to read it, why did that not stay in TS4?
12. There's no hospital or other city buildings that you can access, I liked interacting with the hospital
13. Still no way of playing online with a friend. My friend and I wanted to create our Sims and have them move in together and be roomates, but you guys still haven't figured that out yet. It'd get you lots of new Simmers.
14. There aren't as many clothing options in TS4 as there was in TS3, I mean, they're cute but there aren't too many, why?
15. What happened to all the lots you can choose within a neighbourhood? That really upset me. Two single lots? Really? Two single empty lots?
16. The Rewards are awful or super expensive, for the Lifetime Wishes or Aspirations, either lower the cost or get some new Rewards. I stay far away from the Potions, I don't see a point in them.
17. Really missing the cars and pools
18. Most definitely missing the basement...

Look, I love The Sims and I don't want to stop being a Simmer but this game wasn't all it turned out to be, if you guys good find a way to work on it a little more and just make it an update, that'd be awesome, if not make really great EPs and SPs and don't sell them for more than $25 because that's one of the reasons I couldn't play TS3 as often as I could, the EPs and SPs are too much for the little bit of stuff you get, don't get me wrong, you get a whole lot in the EPs but not so much in the SPs as far as I've seen. I really hope you guys take into consideration what the long-time-Simmers are suggesting for TS5. I know it's difficult to make a game with so much stuff but I think you can do it. If you don't take into consideration what us Simmers are saying, you're probably going to lose a lot of Simmers. I'm keeping my hopes up for the rest of TS4 movement and for the possible TS5 game coming out. I love you guys still but that's just how I feel.

I bought the game yesterday staring at it for 10 min debating on whether or not I should take the plunge and buy it.

Needless to say, I bought and installed it and here is my thoughts.

Build mode, buy mode, and gallery = big selling feature.

Gameplay itself is pretty good, loading screens are fast on my machine (as is Sims 2s' loading screens).

Although features like cast bother me, its not really that bothersome when I actually play the game.

I enjoy sims' expanded interactions making the game (at least for me) playable and fun.

My time spent on it, I rate this base game a 7 / 10. Potential to be awesome with EPs. (=

Keep up the good work gurus. =D

The neighborhoods make lots much easier to find
Purchasing without leaving your home
Added emotional boosts from certain objects
New create a sim features
Building mode is fantastic
Search button in buy/build mode
Sims now multitask
Sims can now chat in groups
Color options for buy mode make it easier to maintain home themes

What I don't enjoy:
Loading screens
Very small neighborhoods; It seems there are a lot of missing and useful lots (like the hospital)
Haven't found a way for my same-sex couple to adopt/have children
No extra room on pre-built homes (There's no room for gardening)
Lack of occupational branches--I feel like there can be more exciting branches along with the choices. For instance, there are only the choices for comedian and musician in the entertainer field.
No means of transportation
I can't seem to find a way to create a style for my sims (i.e. create colors you want them to wear)
When planning events, you spend more time doing underlying plans than trying to fulfill the goals. Example: I planned a wedding in the park and immediately get taken to the event. I spent so much time trying to bake a cake and build on the lot that I ended up running out of time to complete all the tasks. It would be helpful if we could set a date/time for events to take place in the planning window.

I am absolutely in love with this game, although I have 3 'complaints' if that's what you wanna call them.

1. the height of the teenagers, my god they're far too lanky, like my kids just aged up she's 13 and like 6 foot 3.
2. no move objects on, I'm really struggling without this, finding something perfect for the room but you can't fit it anywhere...
3. I'm on laptop mode and I have to have my sim detail on low, otherwise I get the dark sims glitch.

but other than that I'm thoroughly enjoying the game, can't wait to see what the future holds for it! :)

I am a long time simmer. From Sims 1, to the newest Sims 4 and everything (and I mean everything) in between.

What I like:
My sim can look unique and the clothes are fantastic.
Multi-tasking (when it works)
gems, hidden stuff, and frogs
Mood enhancing objects
social events

What I dislike:
cartoony graphics, sims 3 was breathtakingly beautiful in places.
Lot locked.
No carpool or bus (can't tell you how many times my sims have been late to work and school!)
Limited selection of buy objects
No repairman, my sims have to spend a lot of time fixing crap
stuff breaks all the time and soon after purchase
daily tasks for students and career sims, like getting skills and homework weren't time consuming enough
money takes forever to earn, so buying replacements for broken stuff is really not a good option
Sims will be sad if they don't get a birthday cake, but care less when their mate or parent dies
The constant swing of moods. good grief that tune gets under my skin.
actions menu, too complex.

What I don't care about:
toddlers, hate them
pools, can live without them
family trees, eh the game can survive without family trees or story progression

The game is awesome. I love the social aspect. The only thing i hope is that there will be more content. Like new furniture and clothing. I know it just came out...

Dishwashers, pretty please? o:)

I was really hoping to play with mine a lot this weekend but we had a terrible storm and lost power. I have played a little and am enjoying it. It is a base game and since I've been playing Sims since it first came out I realize not to expect too much. The sims are cute and building is fun. I like it.

Lots of objects missing, hottubs, game consoles, dishwashers as someone has already mentioned. I would have thought these would be basegame..

I think it would be a good idea to have some option that allows you to remove the plumbob when taking screenshots so that we don't have to zoom in extra close or use a third sim. The same way that you can now remove other things from videos and pictures.

Also the move objects cheat needs to promptly make its return :<

Once again, I would like to stress that the objects are breaking way too much. Within seconds, my stove (which no one was using), my toilet and my bathroom sink broke. It is midnight, one Sim just got home from work and has to use the bathroom, the other is tired and now I have three objects to repair, two of which are spewing water all over the place, so this needs to be cleaned up. Maid is glitched so I have to have my Sims do it. I am trying to save money for a bigger and better house, so to constantly replace these things is not an option, especially since multiple items break several times a day.

I would also like to add that I agree with those who feel that we need time to move a little slower. This is something I have always wanted, and was hoping for in The Sims 4.
