Yup. I enjoy Sims 4, but not as much as I want. It's not a good game, more of an "okay" game.
What I am tired of seeing on these forums is the constant back and forth over what game was the best. No single game is set in stone as the best. I've never played Sims 2, and I'm not that interested. I play Sims 3 & 4, and Sims 3, in my opinion, is the best in terms of gameplay. Sims 4 looks great with the animation.
Some of my sims work well in 3, some of them work well in 4, and some work nicely in both. It's getting a little tiring seeing people purposefully point out all of the flaws of the game. EA might not be listening, and it is important to voice your opinion, but don't just downright slam Sims 4. Don't slam Sims 3. Don't slam any of the games or the players.
I'm frustrated. I feel like I'm not being heard when it comes to family gameplay. I want it back. I want toddlers. Sims 3 is just amazing to me, and it has everything I want in terms of gameplay. Sims 3 was all that I wanted and MORE. Sims 4 is fun, it's a good game that I enjoy, but I'm just not enjoying it as much as I want to enjoy myself. I can't push myself to like it more.
To me, Sims 4 will improve. It might not improve for all of us, but it will improve in others' perspectives. It might never have the rich, lifelike style of Sims 2 or the Open World and Story Progression like Sims 3, but I for one will continue to play it. Scottie, from Sims 3, beckons to me and I play Sims 3. Josiah, from Sims 4, beats Sims 3 Josiah in every way... I play Sims 4 to spend time with Josiah.
You just can't say no to your favorite sims! No matter what game they are in, I'll go and visit them and watch their little stories, watch their silly faces, and enjoy every minute! Say which games you prefer; I prefer Sims 3, but I also enjoy Sims 4! Liking a game is not a crime.
EA might prefer people who enjoy Sims 4, but we're all fans. Hopefully, this thread will speak to them about how we enjoy the series, and we, as fans, deserve to be heard. No Sims game is going to satisfy every sing one of us.
Show your story, no matter what generation of Sims you play with. Don't let this divide us.
Each Sims game works differently for Sim and Simmers alike. It's not about which game is the very best, but the game you yourself prefer.
Thanks, and keep Simming!
