This expansion is so damn pretty!

Finally got a family into Chestnut Ridge. Just getting started there. I went for an adobe style home, something simple I found on the Gallery and then did a little modification. I added a small greenhouse and a matching stable so far.

I decided my girl up there looked kind of like Snow White so I gave her a modern look, see the little fluffy things love crowding the horse. >:)
.....actually I think he likes them, he only dislikes one of her roosters as I've seen hehe.

My sim went for a ride on Winterfest day :smiley:
It was snowing, there were festive sims going on walks and the neighborhood houses were decorated. So pretty!

@Lenny_Ogg Thank you for the tutorial! I've never used the hazard tape before. Great idea. Love your enclosure example too. I've had to fence in all my livestock because they were running around everywhere! ? Using doors and gates though can get tricky sometimes. Luckily, I haven't noticed the minis going off the lot--so far. But I'll definitely try your idea. ? I don't particularly like all the fences I have up right now.

My Chestnut Ridge family originally lived in Strangerville (before HR). Today, I had them visit the Strangerville bar that I'd renovated with CC before HR came out. Since then, I added a few items from HR and tested the lot with my horses.

The CC saloon doors work well. Sometimes it takes them a few seconds to reset after they're used.

@Lenny_Ogg I tried your idea for hazard fencing. I removed the fencing around my unsheltered barnyard area and replaced it with hazard fencing covered with prairie grass, shrubbery, and a pond. The pond takes up space but will be nice for Simple Living. I like the change. ?

Unfortunately, this save was in Winter, but I also took a screenshot in world build mode. BTW, I'm trying a Free Range mod, so the cow and llama also wander around. The animals can all get into the garden area, but they don't bother the plants.
