1. Before anyone pull up the argument that they're useless, we have bikes and a ferry boat in CATS & DOGS that trigger a loading screen. Much like windows, they don't have to necessary serve a crucial advantage to your Sims, but they can be aesthetically pleasing.
2. While some pre-existing words don't have cosmetically driveways on residential and commercial lots, it's still better than not having cars. Lots that don't have a driveway could have the car simply poof when leaving or entering the lot. Or if possible, have cars still be animated while still in the absense of driveways. If possible, devs could create additional FX (for each individual car model, like 6 if there are six cars in first release) that are triggered when Sim starts a car. This will show the cars that pass by your lot stop, to allow your car (with the respective backdrop number that corresponds to the car model) to pull out of the driveway and thus become part of the FX traffic.
3. Dunno what else I wanted to add.
To be more honest, we do need more cars and have them available in the Transportation group. However, they don't need to do anything. They can just be static objects. We builders love a good floorplan, and the vast majority out there include garages. It would be nice to build them as intended. All we need are more static vehicles (cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, and trailers), and a good selection of garage doors that one can set as "open" or "closed."
I don't care if the sims can't actually drive them.
